New York, New York! (Day 2)

In which we actually go to New York City:

Day 2 found us at the USS Intrepid Air & Space Museum in Manhattan:

Testing out a submarine bunk (note the torpedo!)

Testing out a helicopter stretcher (as seen on M*A*S*H)

Making sure he has a clear LZ

A 22-foot long Lego Intrepid!

Close up of the Lego planes

We even got to tour the Concorde!

Interior (only 100 seats)

 In the cockpit!

They even had a Blue Angel!

And the Space Shuttle Enterprise!  [With trips to Florida and the Udvar-Hazy museum, this trip makes the third of four extant flown shuttle hulls (yes, Enterprise never flew in space, just for approach and landing tests, but still) we've seen just this year.  Probably won't make it to L.A. to see Endeavour this year, though.]
